I think that this process of creating my own resume was very useful. I have had a resume, but it was out of date, and I had someone in the career services department basically make it for me. I now know how to create a resume from scratch, with the correct formatting, wording, and phrasing. I really liked having to dive into my past experiences to think about what relevant work I have done for a specific job. I think that was the hardest part of this entire process. Trying to find information that is relevant, and useful information for a resume. It was also really cool because I actually found a job that I would like to apply for, so in this class, I actually wrote my cover letter and resume specifically for that job, and used the class for proofreading and editing my work. I now feel 100% prepared to send out my resume and cover letter as soon as early next week. I think this process was overall very useful and helpful for my professional writing skills. I think the peer review was so helpful, the group I was in were helpful in both me asking questions and them offering their honest opinions.
