High school teachers always said that what they would do and how they would teach will prepare students for college. As a freshman now, I have never heard anything more inaccurate. Between the workload, college class times, and huge changes in academics, college is nothing that I thought it would be from what my high school teachers would say. My goal is to help make the academic transition from high school to college as easy as possible without making anyone feel overwhelmed. This includes understanding the different learning tools used at UNE. From ePortfolio to Blackboard, it is difficult to truly understand not only how to use each learning site, but also keeping them organized. Also, being able to plan over the summer will help you out a lot. There is much more you can do before coming to school to make sure that everything is ready for your first day of move-in.
