Kaitlyn Quirk- Junior Class President, Tour Guide, Orientation Leader, Leader Scholar, USG Health Science Representative

“My name is Kaitlyn Quirk, I am the junior class president here on campus, I am also an orientation leader, and a tour guide, so this leads me to have plenty of experience with incoming students, as well as the first years already on campus. Some things that help students become successful here on campus would be out SASC, which stands for Student Academic Success Center, peer tutors, here on campus. We also have our Student Access Center which deals with any accommodations for testing, or academic classes, to help you become successful and benefit you on campus. They even have some housing accommodations. We also have a peer mentoring program here on the Biddeford campus. This is where you can get paired up with an upperclassman as a first-year, and you are able to meet with this mentor whenever you need help or advice for academics, roommate problems, or just some overall direction of the campus itself. My last piece of advice would be to just get involved. As the first years it can be hard making friends, but the more you get involved with, the more people you will meet, and the more exposure you will get to different activities, clubs, and information here on campus.”
