“If I was giving advice to freshmen I would definitely tell them to learn how to manage their time best and plan everything in advance. Whether it’s writing everything down, keeping a calendar or agenda, or just becoming more efficient are great ways to manage someone’s time better. As a student-athlete and being a sophomore, I have had time to better manage my time. I have found a balance between academics, football, and social life. It is important to be able to get all your schoolwork done and have plenty of time to study, while also giving yourself ample amount of time to have study breaks and time to do things you actually like to do, let’s face it not everyone should study for hours on end. In this instance, academics are certainly important, and studying sets you up for success but having a social life can also make you a more well-rounded person. And, if you are a student-athlete, the time management only gets harder, but it is important for you to challenge yourself. Overall, good time management and being well-rounded can translate to success in and out of the classroom as well as a happier lifestyle. “
