GIS students plot out research in Biddeford and beyond

Attending college can be seen as both the best and most stressful time for someone’s life. As freshmen, you are able to start a new chapter but have no clue what you’re actually in for. There can be so many uncertainties that may terrify you, but lucky for you, there is a current junior, sophomore, and fellow freshman that are on your side. UNE is such a beautiful campus but can be seen as overwhelming at times. In this handbook, you will have a guide on how to balance sports and extracurricular activities with academics, get to know the different resources to use and access if you are ever struggling with academics, and how to fully adjust from senior year of high school to freshman year of college. We want to make sure that you are able to enjoy your freshman year, have plenty of fun, keep up with your academics, and not be stressed as possible. Imagine this as your own “Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide” but instead of Ned, imagine “The Storm Tours.” We hope this handbook helps you in any way and remember: at this time, you are never going to be alone. Have an amazing freshman year and make it your own! Enjoy!
